MORE INFO AND HISTORY

This house was built by its owners, Peter and Marilyn Bacon, and has been in the Bacon family since 1975. Our three children grew up here in their early life before moving to the west coast. We still return for family reunions and the memories and beautiful waterfront, the loons, egrets sunsets and all. The Bacon grandparents, Margaret and Allen, stayed here many summers of their retirement and it still holds many of their mementos.

The house is nestled in the woods in an area that once was the site of granite quarries. On the sunny west side it faces a large bay which connects though a tidal straight to the larger Frenchmens Bay.
There is a new water access ramp for swimming in the cool waters and boating. A large deck and many south and west facing windows let you enjoy the ever changing panorama of Taunton Bay.
A large open living room dining room and kitchen is a great space for solitude or sharing or creative endeavors. Many little touches show the care and appreciation of the family and many guest visitors.
